Summer Picks*

**Reading time: three minutes**

Summer’s officially here and there’s no better time to shop, than the present. I was kindly gifted a giftcard from The Lexicon so decided to treat myself to some new summer must-haves.

I’ve banged on about this bag loads already but it’s honestly been my favourite buy of the season. The straw-bag trend is huge right now and this is by far the best one on the high-street. For only £7 (in the H&M sale) it’s the easiest way to nail the trend without breaking the bank.

I have a serious love/hate relationship with summer shoes. They’re either really cute but uncomfortable or really ugly. Primark are doing some pretty sandals and flip-flops this season and these were one (of many!) that I was obsessed with. They’re surprisingly comfortable and because they’re black, they go with EVERYTHING!

If you read one of my recent blog posts, you’ll know that when summer hits, I’m all about a Santorini colour palette (if you’ve not read it, you can find it here 👉🏼 Holiday Capsule Wardrobe). I’ve bought so many white, oversized, lace tops and need a fashion bra to go underneath them and this gorgeous bralet from H&M, made the cut.

I keep my make-up really minimal in the summer because I hate that thick, cakey feeling. But, when I go out or I’m on holiday I like to add a really sparkly/glittery highlighter to my collarbones, cheekbones and shoulders. I picked this one up from Urban Decay, in Fenwick, and absolutely love it. The colour is a gorgeous champagne shade and looks amazing on tanned skin.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey shower cream is no stranger to my skincare collection. I’ve mentioned it in numerous blog posts and Instagram Stories because it’s honestly my favourite, especially in the summer. After being exposed to the sun all day, it’s a nourishing, milky cream which leaves the skin feeling smooth and moisturised.

During the summer my skin gets so dry because of the sun exposure so I need a really intense moisturiser. I bought this one from Boots for £15 (I think) and it’s worth every penny. It instantly hydrates my skin and makes it feel less tight from the sun. I love to use it before bed leaving my skin feeling smooth and recovered the next morning.

All of these products have been selected from stores at The Lexicon but stock may vary.
