2017 Favourites

*I am completely aware that the featured image has zero relevance to the topic of this blog post but oh, well*

It’s almost the end of the year and because I haven’t written a blog post in over a month (oops), I thought I’d do a round-up of all my favourite beauty products from 2017. I’m going to be posting a 2017 Disappointing Products post in the next week (ish), so watch this space…

I buy a lot of products and I love most of them meaning I can’t write about every single one but these 8 are my absolute faaaaaavourites (in no particular order).

1. Pixi – Rose Oil

I feel like either I joined the Pixi party too late or this product is just incredibly underrated. I normally hate oils (especially face oils) but the Rose Oil Blend from Pixi is unbelievable. In the winter I suffer quite badly from dull and dry skin and I’ve tired dozens of moisturisers and even oils but nothing compares as this has literally saved me.

2. Anastasia Beverley Hills – Sugar Glow Kit

My parents went to the US and this was one of the gifts they brought back for me. I already have the ABH Sun Dipped Glow Kit and I love the shades ‘Summer’ and ‘Moonstone’ but this palette is perfect because all 4 shades work well on my skin. The formula is amazing as it’s produces a sheen on the skin rather than a line of glitter.

3. Glossier – Haloscope (in Quartz)

I bought the Haloscope highlighter on Black Friday and instantly fell in love with Glossier. This product is a combination of skincare and makeup to create a dewy highlighter. I normally hate highlighter sticks because it looks like a line of glitter on my face but this one is so easy to blend and gives a beautiful glow. *adds 5 to basket*

4. Too Faced – Peanut Butter and Honey Eyeshadow Collection

I’ve wanted this palette for ages and finally got it a couple of months ago. The thing I love the most about it is the honey and peanut butter smell. It has all the shades you need to create a full eye look without dipping into any other palette. The colours are very pigmented and super easy to blend. I absolutely love the packaging and how easy it is to take on the go – 100% commuter friendly!

5. Charlotte Tilbury – Wonderglow Primer

I’ve never used or bought any Charlotte Tilbury makeup/skincare but I was sent a few testers so, I bought a travel set from Charlotte Tilbury which had mini sizes of all the best sellers in a little travel make-up bag. My favourite product I tried was the Wonderglow Primer. When applied under foundation it gives a gorgeous healthy looking glow and makes the foundation look radiant. It’s quite a pricey primer but a definite investment.

6. Colourpop – Super Shock Shadows

I’ve already written a blog post about how much I love these shadows so it’s no surprise that they’ve made it to my 2017 favourites list. The formula is super creamy and easy to blend on the eye. Pigmentation is insane and all the shadows are so inexpensive which makes the shipping taxes worth it.

7. Neutrogena – Hydro Boost Water Gel

Ok, so it’s literally no surprise when I say I have horribly dry and dull skin in the winter (I’ve said it about 50 times). Within a week of using this hydrating gel I saw noticeable difference in my skin. It’s not sticky and thick like most face creams as it’s a water based gel moisturiser which I love. The gel formula is so lightweight and fast absorbing so it’s perfect under foundation.

8. Glossier – Body Hero Daily Oil Wash

Another Glossier product…shock. Long story short; hate bath/shower oils but love this one. Smells incredible, makes your skin super soft, and with it being only £15 I’ll be stocking up.
