DISCLAIMER – I’m extremely tired so 90% of this probably won’t make any sense. Oops.
It’s been over a month since my last blog post about New York (link here – in case you haven’t read it 👉 NYC) and as much as I’ve wanted to write more, so much has been going on and I’ve been incredibly busy. So unless you want to read a blog post about the infamous Harvey Specter (just started watching Suits on Netflix haven’t I); it was best I didn’t post anything at all. Other than the fact I’m drinking 6 cups of coffee a day and can’t remember the last time I’ve had a decent nights sleep, I finally start to feel less unsettled. So, I’m back to tell all 2 of my dedicated readers (hi mum, hi dad) about the crazy mess that is my *life*.
Unfortunately, after the best year ever, I said ‘goodbye’ to my beloved Googlers. It still seems so surreal that I actually worked there let alone be there a year and move on. I’ve had the opportunity to learn and work with so many amazing people and I am eternally grateful for everything. Even though I was sad to leave, I’m really happy to have moved to New Look as their Social Media Exec.
I’ve just finished my first month at New Look and overwhelmed doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel. Starting from scratch can be so hard, especially when it’s a new job, but I’m incredibly lucky to be around the most supportive team to help get me through it. The brand have so many exciting things lined up this year and I can’t wait to be a part of it all.
On a more personal level; my parents got married! Let me start by saying they’ve been together for about 100 years but just never tied the knot. But the day finally came this year and they were so excited they decided to do it twice. Literally. They had a small gathering, with immediate family, for the legal ceremony in May, followed by a huge summer party in July, with all friends and family.
Between going out for breakfast as often as possible and buying expensive handbags that look exactly the same; I’ve been trying to plan another holiday. After going to New York last month, Elliot decided it’s now my turn to choose where we go next. After some thinking I’ve been able to come up with a very short list of about 10 destinations. Apparently (according to Elliot) that’s not a short list, so plans are still TBC until I get my shit together.
(As you probably already know I am the shittest ‘blogger’ ever and I never know how to end these things so I’m going to end with a gif of a cute doggo🐶)
Ciao – C.x
