After months and months of wanting to buy the ABH Glow Kit, I finally decided to with my first paycheck from my new job. And I’m so glad I did! A lot of people on Instagram and Twitter have said it’s amazing, and with endless hours of watching YouTube tutorials I thought to treat myself and review it for anyone who’s considering the purchase.
I ordered the kit through Cult Beauty in shade ‘Sun Dipped’ which has 4 bronze/nude highlighters. The order came very quickly which meant I could use it on a night out that same week.
It was a lot bigger than I was expecting, meaning that it was great value for money, and the kit came in a basic sleeve which is the same design as the front of the palette.
The colours looked exactly like I saw online and straight away you can see that the shades will illuminate your skin, not sparkle and leave glitter all over, but create a lasting glow. The creamy texture makes it easy to apply and turns into a matte, powdered, finish. The high pigmentation means that even the smallest amount used, creates visible results.
The palette can be used as a highlighter and/or eyeshadow and the colours suit every skin tone perfectly. Due to the similar shades the colours are easily blended to create different, lighter/darker , shades.
I use the highlighter on nights out as it has such a long lasting effect, knowing that my highlighter will stay in pristine condition for hours. The pans are easily removed so they can be put in a different palette or be replaced with ease.
Although the palette is faultless, it could improve by getting a square mirror on the inside lid, which would make it more efficient for easy application on the go.
